Ephedrine HCL – Extractum Pharma, 20 tabs per 50 mg

Ephedrine is an extremely old medication that has been used for a host of purposes. For decades it has been used as a decongestant, in the treatment of hypotension (low blood pressure) and is well-known for its thermogenic and appetite suppressing effects. Ephedrine also represents one of the most controversial medications to ever exist, especially in the United States.

Ephedrine Hydrochloride is a sympathomimetic from the same family as Albuterol Sulfate and Clenbuterol Hydrochloride. However, unlike Clenbuterol, which is a beta-2 agonist, Ephedrine is an alpha and beta adrenergic agonist. As a result, Ephedrine will promote a significant release of norepinephrine, which is strikingly similar to adrenaline. Specifically, norepinephrine is a powerful endogenous alpha agonist.

When Ephedrine is administered, it greatly stimulates the central nervous system while providing a tremendously powerful stimulating effect. The resulting effect results in an increase in the body’s core temperature and an ensuing increased metabolic rate, but it does not end there. The total action will result in more free fatty acids being produced due to a now enhanced breakdown of triglycerides in the adipose tissue resulting in body fat loss. In short, the metabolic rate is enhanced, more energy is burned and fat loss is enhanced. Burning more energy is synonymous with fat loss so as long as the total amount of energy burned puts energy levels in a deficit.

The enhancements that Ephedrine provides have also been linked to increasing the anabolic effectiveness of anabolic steroids. While possible, it is very difficult to determine how great this effect is. However, we can say with confidence any enhancement of anabolic activity will be mild at best.

Ephedrine is also well known for being a strong appetite suppressant; in fact, it’s one of the best suppressants on earth. This is largely due to the compound decreasing gastric emptying. Due to this property, Ephedrine has appeared as a primary ingredient in numerous over the counter diet pills for decades.

Then we’re left with the final traits of Ephedrine, which are largely associated with medicinal treatment. Ephedrine is commonly found in many decongestants but is more aptly labeled as a bronchodilator. The compound will ease restrictions on the air passageways thereby improving breathing. For this purpose, it has been used to treat asthma, bronchitis and even common ailments that cause an obstruction in breathing. In a clinical setting, Ephedrine has also been used to treat hypotension resulting from anesthesia.
